 The 14th Annual Chili/Chowder Contest will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 12-4 pm at the Boardy Barn on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays. A fun family event, the Chili/Chowder contest allows local restaurants, caterers, chefs and individuals an opportunity to claim bragging rights for the Best Chili or Chowder on the East End. Approximately 600 people attended last year's event to sample the chili/chowders and vote for their favorite. In addition, there were raffles, prizes and even face-painting for the kids. The Chili/Chowder Contest is the Chamber's largest fundraising event and funds the Annual Chamber of Commerce Scholarship which is awarded to a college-bound, graduating Senior from Hampton Bays High School.
